Candidates must purchase and make initial fanny pack cravats.

MaterialCotton or cotton/polyester blend, purchased at your local fabric or discount store. Buy right off roll or save money by buying remnants. Look for soft medium material sufficient for durable sling and swath. Cost: about $1 per yard Medium size cravats require 45"-wide material. Have fabric cut from roll in 45" lengths to create 45" x 45" squares. Candidates need two 45" x 45" squares. Cost: about $3 Large cravats require at least 60" wide material. Have material cut from roll in 60" lengths to create 60" x 60" squares. Candidates need one 60" x 60" square. Cost: about$2 |

| Cut along diagonal fold. Each square makes two triangular bandages. Fold the square corner to the triangle to the center of the long side. Fold twice again parallel to the first fold. |
